Samsung is trying to make its foldable smartphones dust-resistant, here's how

Samsung’s recently launched foldable smartphones, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Flip 5, have received an IPX8 water-resistant rating, but missed out on dust protection. However, the South Korean firm's mobile chief T M Roh has said the company is working on including dust resistance in future foldable phones, but it was difficult to achieve “due to the nature of foldables, there are many moving parts, so dust proofing is difficult”.
