Apple and Amazon face class action suit in the UK, here's why

Apple and Amazon are being sued in the UK for £500m ($645m) in a class action lawsuit that alleges an illegal increase in the price of Apple products on Amazon’s e-commerce platform since October 2018. According to the claim, Amazon and Apple entered a secret agreement which saw Amazon limit the sale of popular Apple products by independent sellers in exchange for better wholesale rates on all Apple and Beats products. Both companies have denied the allegations. Italian and Spanish regulators have previously imposed fines of nearly $440m for similar agreements enforced during 2018.
